To celebrate ten years of marriage we took a family vacation to Huatulco, a tourist town on the Pacific Ocean in the state of Oaxaca. We took an easy 50 minute flight down from DF and were at the pool by noon on May 18th to celebrate in style. Unfortunately, there had been a storm recently so there wasn’t much beach to speak of due to high seas, but the six pools made up for that. We had a totally chill, relaxing and much needed holiday after the craziness of the past 10 months. Summer was tentative at first in the water, but soon got the hang of it after which we had a hard time getting her out! Skye was her usual social self, making friends with everyone, in particular two young girls from Chiapas who played with her much of the day and taught her many Spanish songs/games. Sunday we came back to reality, but are already looking forward to our next Mexican beach holiday after the summer trip home.
